Project Overview
I was given the task of designing a mobile e-commerce platform for sell and buy secondhand goods online that satisfied the needs and goals of both the seller and buyer. The Site will elevate a bargaining experience on mobile e-commerce platform more pleasure, smooth and frictionless as possible so the sellers and buyers can transact with ease. It also provides collaborate channel to between seller to communicate with.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Now a day, people like to sell or buy secondhand goods online. As a buyers, not only they want to have rare items and save some money but also it’s a great place to have some really cool stuff at an amazing price. As a sellers, they want to get rid of their kinds of stuff, turn them to living or want to have more room to put new ones.
Although, negotiating the price is a good way between them to help close the sales, but sometimes the overwhelming majority of transactions doesn’t go smoothly.
How could we build a trust between 2 parties and prevent unsmooth transact to closure and feel confident, comfortable and stress-free If these two parties are properly achieved, then there should be no barrier to closure.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
How might we: Enable Seller and Buyer to know more information by including product, profile, feedback rating no matter what side of the trade you are.
How might we: Make both Seller and buyer feel safe and secure to pay and deliver stuff every time they purchase something on mobile e-commerce platform, to decrease a feeling of risk, successfully closing and not be so thrilling with the transaction.
How might we: Create discussion boards in an easy view whether they are buyer or seller to allow them have conversations when are in their dealing.
USER RESEARCH
Due to the short time constraint of the project. I have to be efficient conducting user research, do a quantitative research online and collecting feedback. Also finding and focusing my initial interviews on people who I know they are selling and buying stuff online, ranging from casual to the more dedicated to get a real information.
Even though I was only be able to interview 1 person , but she has been selling and buying her second hand good for months. ( luckily she is my co-worker so I am able to ask as much as I want to get her insight)
Below are my questions for my initial user research.
1. What make you prefer to buy and sell stuff online?
2. How often do you buy stuff online?
3. Can you tell me what was your experience when you either sell or buy stuff online ? Good and Bad Why?
4. if you have used websites or apps Which apps and websites do you use?
